Anime Adventures Shiny Guide
Shiny units are the rarest flex in Anime Adventures — cosmetic variants with a flat 1% chance on every summon (3% with Shiny Hunter). Here are the real odds for every rarity, from the final live version.
Last updated: October 22, 2026 · Odds to be re-verified on relaunch day
1% flat — 3% with Shiny Hunter
The shiny roll is independent of rarity. The 1,299 Robux Shiny Hunter gamepass triples it on every single summon.
Purely cosmetic
A shiny has identical stats to the normal version. It is a collection trophy — and can even be removed from Legendary/Mythic units for Star Remnants.
Announced to the whole game
Since the Halloween 2022 update, whenever anyone in any server summons a Shiny Mythic or a Secret, it is announced in the global Roblox chat.
Shiny Odds by Rarity
Combined odds per summon: the rarity has to appear and win the 1% shiny roll. Averages are expectations over many pulls — not guarantees.
| Rarity | Summon rate | Shiny odds | With Shiny Hunter | Avg. pulls per shiny |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rare | 81.9% | 0.819% | 2.457% | ~122 (≈6,105 Gems) |
| Epic | 16% | 0.16% | 0.48% | ~625 (≈31,250 Gems) |
| Legendary | 2% | 0.02% | 0.06% | ~5,000 (≈250,000 Gems) |
| Mythic — Standard Banner | 0.25% | 0.0025% | 0.0075% | ~40,000 (≈2,000,000 Gems) |
| Mythic — Special / Event Banner | 0.5% | 0.005% | 0.015% | ~20,000 (≈1,000,000 Gems) |
| Any shiny (any rarity) | 100% | 1% | 3% | ~100 (≈5,000 Gems) |
Secret units can also be shiny, but their combined odds were never officially published — the banner Secret rate itself is 1 in 400,000 per pull. Rates above are the final live version (post Update 20.4.1) as documented on the community wiki.
Your Level Gates Shinies
- Level 0–4 (Banner Tier 0): no shinies, no Secrets can be summoned.
- Level 5+ (Tier 1): shinies unlocked.
- Level 20+ (Tier 2): Secrets unlocked too — the full banner.
The tier system exists so fresh alt accounts can't snipe endgame pulls — level first, then hunt.
The Most Hunted Shinies
Community hunt videos rack up hundreds of thousands of views chasing the same shortlist — if one of these sparkles for you, it is a genuine trophy:
Feel the Odds Before You Spend
Averages like “1 in 40,000” are hard to picture. Run the summon simulator with the Shiny Hunter toggle on and off and watch how long a shiny Mythic actually takes — then decide how to spend on relaunch day. Chasing a specific trait instead? The trait reroll simulator covers that grind, and the secret units list shows the other endgame chase.
Shiny FAQ
What are the chances of getting a shiny in Anime Adventures?
Every summoned unit has a flat 1% chance to be shiny — 3% with the Shiny Hunter gamepass. What changes by rarity is how often the rarity itself appears: a shiny Mythic on the standard banner works out to 0.0025% per pull (about 1 in 40,000 summons), because Mythics themselves are only 0.25%.
Does a shiny unit do more damage?
No. Shiny units are purely cosmetic — a rare alternate appearance with identical stats, range and abilities. Their value is rarity and collection status, not power.
Is the Shiny Hunter gamepass worth it?
It triples your shiny chance on every summon (1% → 3%) for 1,299 Robux. If you summon a lot and collect shinies, it cuts the average hunt for a shiny Mythic from ~40,000 pulls to ~13,300 on the standard banner. If you barely summon, it changes almost nothing — the multiplier only matters over thousands of pulls.
How many Gems does a shiny Mythic take?
On average, a shiny Mythic takes about 40,000 summons on the standard banner — roughly 2,000,000 Gems at 50 Gems a pull, or 1,600,000 with VIP. The Special Banner halves it: about 20,000 summons (~1,000,000 Gems). Averages hide the spread, though: plenty of players go far past them, which is why shiny Mythic pulls get announced to the whole game.
Can you remove a shiny from a unit?
Yes — on Legendary and Mythic units, the shiny variant can be removed in exchange for Star Remnants. It is occasionally worth doing on a unit you plan to use as evolution material, though most players keep shinies untouched for the collection value.
